What is The Wick and Wine Experience?

The Wick and Wine Experience is a mobile candle-making business that helps people reconnect through creativity and calm. We bring unforgettable, hands-on candle-pouring sessions to corporate events, bridal celebrations, private parties, and more. We are proudly certified as a women-owned business.

 

How does the experience work?

We bring all tools and materials to your location. Guests choose from six signature fragrances, blend their scent, and pour their own 9oz candle with guidance from our onsite chandler. It’s fun, beginner-friendly, and designed to be both relaxing and social.

How long is each session?

Each session lasts approximately 2 hours. It takes about 15 minutes to make your candle, and the remaining time allows your candle to cool and cure properly. If you’re visiting us at our Berwyn Shops location, feel free to explore and support neighboring small businesses listed on the Shop Berwyn site while your candle sets!

What are the guest minimums and maximums?

  • Offsite (mobile events): 12 guest minimum
  • Berwyn Shops location: 6 guest minimum, 6 guest maximum
    (Note: Our Berwyn space is intimate and ideal for small group sessions.)

What is included in the package?

Each candle-making experience includes:

  • One 9oz custom-scented candle per guest
  • Access to our curated fragrance bar
  • Custom label with your brand or event name
  • Use of all tools and materials
  • Guided instruction by our chandler
  • Water and non-alcoholic beverages are included (No alcohol is allowed at Berwyn Shops)

Can I get custom-branded candles for my event or business?

Absolutely! We love helping you tell your story through scent. For custom-branded candles, please allow 48–72 hours to process your request, not including shipping. Onsite pick-up is also available.

 

What is the Berwyn Shops location?

The Berwyn Shops is a unique retail incubator supporting emerging small businesses. Located at 6931 Roosevelt Rd in Berwyn, IL, it features 12 boutique-style spaces.

We’re proud to share that The Wick and Wine Experience was selected out of 30 small businesses to have a shop through December—making this a limited-time, pop-up location. Come visit while we’re there!

Are bookings refundable?

All bookings are non-refundable. However, if something comes up, we’ll do our best to reschedule your experience.

Do you travel for events?

Yes! We’re fully mobile and available for corporate offices, private venues, homes, and event spaces. We also partner with select bars and restaurants that allow us to host for free. Let us know what you have in mind—we’ll bring the vibe.
